Your Comment thinks "it's a matter of simple justice" that local sentences should be upheld by the Court of Appeal.
It is very naive and the height of ignorance to believe "justice" ever figures in a British court of law. British courts practice "jurisprudence" i.e. manipulating the rules laid down by Parliament.
Justice has not been practised or dispensed in Britain since the laws of Alfred the Great were set aside about 1,000 ago.
