FOOTBALLERS from Derwent School got a close look at one of this country's most coveted pieces of silverware yesterday - the Barclays Premiership trophy.
The school team visited the trophy at the Parliament Street branch of the bank as part of its whistle-stop tour of the UK during the Premiership title run-in.
Football fans from across the York area were given the chance to have their picture taken with the iconic silverware in return for a donation to Comic Relief, with all monies being matched pound for pound by the bank.
Members of the current York City squad also popped in to see the trophy.
