SELBY Town maintained their NCEL premier division challenge with a 2-1 win over Armthorpe Welfare at Flaxley Road.
The Robins took the lead after ten minutes when a Cameron Stuart corner was headed in by Dominic Graham and doubled it in the 35th minute when a Chris Kamara cross was headed against the post by Stuart and Adam Wash knocked in the rebound.
Armthorpe scored from close range in the 85th minute to set up a tense finish but the Robins hung on to claim a vital three points.
Tadcaster Albion turned in one of their worst performances of the season to slip up 3-1 at home to division one bogey team Yorkshire Amateur.
Andy Battersby fired them into a tenth minute lead but Amateur came back with two before the break and one after to stifle Albion's slim promotion hopes.
