ALAN Robinson claims the Scots are more pro-European than the English (Letters, March 2).
This is hard to square with the fact that two of the three largest parties in the Edinburgh parliament campaign against the EU Constitution.
A poll published in Scotland last month showed 40 per cent opposition to the European Union constitution and only 34 per cent in support.
If the Labour and particularly the Lib Dem political leadership were honest they would explain the radical change that this constitution would require, rather than simply dismissing widespread opposition with the words anti European.
