WHILE I thank the Evening Press for its continuing support of our quest to obtain justice for Carli, I should like to correct a statement made by the North Yorkshire Police solicitor contained in your report of the inquest (March 11).
Lindsey Hall said "complaints by the Barry family had not been upheld by the Police Complaints Commission".
This matter is, in fact, still part of an ongoing investigation by Anne McIntosh MP.
The Police Complaints Authority was initially involved but were abolished - for whatever reason - in March 2004 and replaced by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
