IN response to the beauracratic parking issue (March 10), how would the City of York Council feel if all their employees were unable to park outside their place of work?
And if all the council's customers were made to pay every time they stopped outside their premises?
How can it be that all the businesses in Fossgate are being subjected to this action when they pay a hell of a lot in business rates?
What would the council say when all the restaurants eventually go out of business and business rate income is no longer coming in to council's coffers?
What a disaster this would be. More empty shops vandalised and covered in graffiti - what an eyesore.
So see sense, City of York Council, and help the businesses of Walmgate and Fossgate York.
