IN response to your news analysis report 'Lights out to keep moving' (March 8), I have never understood the need for roundabouts with traffic lights.
I presume roundabouts were designed originally to aid traffic flow on their own and, in most cases, they still do so today.
I must disagree with the opinion relayed by Coun Ann Reid.
I have long thought that the lights on the A1079/A64 interchange at Grimston Bar are unnecessary as they often cause queues of traffic rather than alleviate them.
