HARROGATE Town new boy Lee Nogan made his presence felt after scoring on his debut to help take his new team to a 4-2 Nationwide North win over Redditch United.
The veteran striker, making his first appearance since leaving York City as player-coach, played his part in two Town goals to notch up an 11th home win and put them firmly in the play-off zone.
A foul on his first touch saw James Turley's free kick stroked home by another former Minsterman, Leigh Wood, to make it 3-1.
Redditch pulled another back from a free kick.
But then a delayed Town substitution saw the referee wave play-on, and Turley's quick throw found Nogan unmarked among the confused Redditch defence and he made sure of the goal.
Marc Smith had earlier set Town on course for victory after converting a Lee Philpott corner and taking advantage of Turley's footwork to score a second.
Free-scoring Goole stay in pole position in the Northern Counties East League premier division after a 4-0 defeat of Brodsworth Welfare.
Gary Shaw and Graeme Whitehead made it 2-0 at half time. A second half Steve Davey penalty was saved but the referee ordered a retake because of encroachment, and Shaw made it 3-0 before sub Ben Eastwood hit a fourth in the last minute.
Selby Town kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 3-0 win at Thackley.
The Robins took the lead after ten minutes when Jason Harris volleyed home from 15 yards and went further in front minute when Cameron Stuart scored direct from a corner.
Selby scored a third when a good run and cross from Andy Hart was neatly finished off by Stuart in the 65th minute.
Harrogate Railway's amazing away form continued with a 2-0 win at Maltby Main to make it 12 out of 12 on the road this season.
James Featherstone and Scott Ryan fired in two early strikes to keep them on track in third.
Fixture-less Pickering Town slipped to sixth after Shirebrook Town won 3-0 at Hallam to move above them.
Tadcaster Albion made the most of some hapless goalkeeping to win 4-2 at Parkgate to go fourth in NCEL division one.
Paul Jones and Alan Jackson both benefited from two first half blunders.
Gate pulled one back but Andy Battersby's deflected shot to restore breathing space for Albion, while Jackson headed in the goal of the game to make it 4-2 after an attempted goal-line clearance at the other end was adjudged over the line.
