The Leeds-based Yorkshire Racing Club Owners' group make a return visit to Southwell tomorrow, hoping to gain a repeat victory with Instructor, who was triumphant on the course ten days ago.

Trained at Malton by Richard Fahey, Instructor, who was bought of Richard Hannon's yard last autumn, promises to be a good money-spinner for his enthusiastic Yorkshire owners, who got a huge thrill out of the gelding's latest success.

Squeezed for room early in the straight, the horse also received an accidental crack across the face from a rival jockey's whip as he launched his challenge.

But nothing put him off and, responding to Paul Hanagan's vigorous urgings, he got up in the shadow of the post to gain a photo-finish success over Wessex.

The pair go head-to-head again tomorrow in the £10,000 Littlewoods Bet Direct Handicap and Instructor is napped to confirm his superiority.

Hanagan can also nail another £10,000 event aboard Shape Up in the Press Red To Bet On ITV Handicap.

Trained near Sedgefield by Ray Craggs, Shape Up was successful here recently on the same day as Instructor, winning tidily, without Hanagan having to resort to serious pressure.

There is more to come from Shape Up, who tackles the same distance of 12 furlongs tomorrow. An encore looks on the cards.

Paul Blockley is enjoying a good season on the all-weather circuit and the trainer can further add to his tally of winners, courtesy of Blueberry Rhyme and Game Guru, two previous course-and-distance winners.

Blueberry Rhyme returns from a break to contest the ITV Interactive Betting & Gaming Handicap, but this speedy individual is not expected to be found wanting in the fitness department as Blockley seldom sends out horses unable to do themselves justice.

Game Guru is overdue a winning turn after a series of placed efforts. The six-year-old can find opportunity knocking in the Red Button Games On ITV Selling Stakes, a modest contest by any standards.

Apprentice Mark Howard has impressed several times this winter and the 7lb claimer can add to his scoresheet aboard Kumakawa (4.40), a winner on this course a fortnight ago.

Tomorrow's Tips:

Southwell

1.40 Blueberry Rhyme, 2.10 Savile's Delight, 2.40 Brother Cadfael, 3.10 Shape Up, 3.40 Game Guru, 4.10 Instructor (Nap), 4.40 Kumakawa.

Exeter

2.20 Lady Misprint, 2.50 Lamp's Return, 3.20 Multi Talented, 3.50 Barton Hill, 4.20 Leroy's Sister, 4.50 Day Du Roy.

Tomorrow's other meeting, at Newcastle, was called off this morning because parts of the course are waterlogged.

Tom O'Ryan's Nap selection for this afternoon's racing was: Toni Alcala (2.20 at Wolverhampton).
