It must be about a year since York City played Hull at the KC Stadium. City lost 2-1 but left the field to a richly deserved standing ovation having played superbly and having been desperately unlucky.
I have seen virtually all City's home games since then and several away games. The way we played against Barnet on Tuesday night was the best I have seen the team play since the Hull game.
Well done City and well done Billy McEwan. It is amazing what a bit of organisation does. Kevin Donovan must have touched the ball more in the last two games than in all the other games this season put together.
For the first time in a long time I left full of optimism. Roll on next season. Good luck Billy and thanks City. I had nearly forgotten what it feels like to win, win well, outplay a good team, and wake up next morning and believe we will do it next season.
