A MAJOR contract to design and build a 27,000sq ft warehouse for National Tube Stockholders (NTS) is under way by Thirsk-based Severfield-Reeve Projects.
The warehouse, the eighth built for NTS at its headquarters on Dalton Industrial Estate near Thirsk, is a multi-million pound contract for design build and development company, Severfield-Reeve Projects, a subsidiary of Severfield-Rowen plc.
NTS, which was founded in 1985 and has 95 staff, is due to complete the project in April.
More than 400 tonnes of steel have been supplied for the contract by Rowen Structures and erected by Steelcraft Ltd, both Severfield-Rowen subsidiaries.
Gordon Hendry of NTS, said: "The new warehouse is necessary because of the continuing expansion of our single-site operation as we continue to win orders from throughout the UK."
John Siddall, Severfield-Reeve Projects construction director, said: "It is marvellous that NTS has the confidence in our expertise to provide us with our eighth design build contract."
