WHY is it never our fault when something doesn't happen the way we want it to?
What a breath of air to read Chris Greasby's comment about how the police were only doing their job and they were still mocked ("Not so funny", Letters, February 23).
They can't win, can they?
I'm sure if it were anybody else in that queue of traffic and they were late for work or needed to be somewhere in a hurry they would have welcomed that police officer coming to their rescue.
The other thing that always seems to be somebody else's fault is "out of control" kids. It's always "the police can't deal with them" or "we need more for them to do".
Where are the parents when their kids are up to mischief and public harassment? It's nobody's fault other than parents.
If, once in a while, we all take responsibility for our own doings maybe then we can all get on with a better life.
