York City boss Billy McEwan has told his players not to get carried away with their recent success ahead of tomorrow's home game with Exeter (3pm).
The Minstermen go into the Conference clash having taken maximum points from their last two games - an away victory at Exeter and Tuesday night's defeat of runaway leaders Barnet.
But McEwan has warned that the Devon club will be keen to avenge their St James Park reverse and is hoping his players do not let their recent high standards slip.
He also believes visiting teams might now take the KitKat Crescent club more seriously after their back-to-back victories over promotion candidates.
The City boss said: "Somebody said to me that we might make the play-offs now and I couldn't believe my ears. We have got a few points but that's just a start.
"I am under no illusions how tough the job still is but our recent wins might mean the opposition respect us a bit more now. The matches coming up were always going to be tough but they might be a little extra tougher now.
"We need to keep our feet on the ground as we have not done anything yet except win a couple of matches. I will be watching with great interest to see if the players aren't resting on their laurels."
City are expected to field an unchanged side after the victory over Barnet.
Amy in charge
A FEMALE referee will take charge of a York City match for the first time in the club's history tomorrow.
Loughborough official Amy Rainer will be the woman in the middle as the Minstermen take on Exeter City at KitKat Crescent.
