Selby, who suffered a 17-15 reverse against Wheatley Hills in their last match, have a tough looking fixture against third-placed Pontefract in Yorkshire One at Sandhill Lane.

Selby make five changes, two of them positional, to their starting XV. In the backs, Andy Gabel at centre and Martin Protheroe on the wing return. Rich Topping switches to the other wing. Selby have a new half-back combination with Dan Porter back in the side at stand-off.

He takes over from Toby Pemberton who is not available, but Porter's strength is kicking at goal and this should be an asset for Selby who will look to take advantage of the Yorkshire Unde-19s player's golden boot.

In the forwards, Wright Phillips returns to take the No 8 shirt, while Jamie Pocklington starts on the bench. He is joined by prop replacement Mark Tomlinson and Tony Godfrey who makes his first appearance in the squad since late September.

With Selby lying in ninth place in Yorkshire One - just four points from the league's basement - this is a vital match.
