THE excellent turnout and support by the members of the York & Ainsty South Hunt and the public on Saturday, February 19 in Easingwold Market Place - and elsewhere throughout the country - must indicate to everyone, particularly Tony Blair and his discredited cronies, that the ban on foxhunting is an unpopular and unworkable law.
It is obvious that the law is nothing to do with animal welfare but is simply a political, bigoted, unjust and intrusive violation of the right of individuals to engage in harmless and traditional activities.
This Government's obsession with interfering in almost every aspect of our lives, and the maniacal desire to enact laws and regulations which are ill-thought out and largely unnecessary, must show the electorate how political correctness and social engineering is ruining this country.
This Government must be disposed of at the General Election before the country sinks under the welter of legislation and control emanating from the European Union, Brussels and New Labour.
