Malton Bacon Factory inflicted the first Leeper Hare York and District League premier division home defeat of the season on leaders Dringhouses as they won 4-3.

The Malton side raced into a three-goal lead in 17 minutes through Simon Collins, Dave Bradshaw and Nigel Allen, Bradshaw adding a fourth shortly after half-time.

The Malton side then lost their 'keeper enabling the hosts to counter with goals from Lee Bond and Mark Woodward (2) but the Factory ranks held out to record their first win over Dringhouses in four attempts and leap into second place.

That came at the expense of Huntington, who could only muster a draw at Copmanthorpe.

Left-back Mark Hurst opened the scoring for Cop with a sweet drive but Rob Cookland levelled before the break following a free-kick. Ian Dunne gave Huntington the lead on 73 minutes but Cop stretched their unbeaten run to four games when Lee Atkinson hammered in a leveller.

Haxby, who had failed to find the net in any of their last four home games, were two goals down inside the first ten minutes against visitors Pocklington.

A Dave Cruddas first half hat-trick put the hosts in front with Darren Harrison adding a fourth. In the second period Ian Ferguson and Mark Scoreby sealed Haxby's 6-2 win.

Kartiers' poor away form continued as they went down 1-0 at Wiggington Grasshoppers. The only goal was scored by Luke Roberts when he broke from his own half, played a couple of one-twos and finished crisply.

The form-book was turned upside down at Old Malton. The hosts' impressive record of no goals conceded in their last three home outings was shattered by T& L Selby, who won with goals from Darren Fawcett and Chris Harkin.
