I READ with disbelief the front page report headlined "Fingered" (February 16).
What is our city coming to when a little old lady can be mugged, a rapist can comb the streets looking for his next victim, a cyclist can ride on the pavement or the wrong way along a one-way street, a house can be broken into, real driving offences are not worth investigating - yet this man, David Honan, is arrested for running along a "closed street" doing no harm to anyone.
In fact he was probably entertaining the onlookers.
We are supposed to admire our police officers, have faith in their judgement. What a laugh.
What annoys me is that I am paying for them through council tax. Surely the officers involved should be reprimanded for wasting police time.
