l Byron's Green for go award
TEENAGE midfielder Byron Webster picked up his first Evening Press Player of the Year points after a man-of-the-match performance at Forest Green Rovers.
Webster (pictured left) picked up three points that will also go towards the Preston and Duckworth Jewellers and Evening Press Player of the Month standings for February.
Veteran defender Paul Groves is the leader in that contest after picking up another point in Gloucestershire, having been our third-highest rated player at Forest Green.
Recalled right-back Graeme Law topped our fans poll to get two Player of the Month points, while on-loan Doncaster centre-back Jon Maloney also collected two points for another solid display.
To be in with a chance of presenting this month's award and winning a Tissot watch, don't forget to e-mail your top man in any of City's games throughout February to dave.flett@ycp.co.uk or you can drop in your selection at our 76-86 Walmgate offices.
