FOR many weeks I have read about the upset caused by the loss of the Barbican Centre to members of the clubs and classes which were located there. Having worked at the Barbican until its closure myself, no one was more upset at the decision for it to shut.
While I agree with the arguments surrounding the legal wrangles, I am writing to inform readers of the relocation of numerous clubs and classes to All Saints School.
The school is now offering lettings of its sports facilities to the public, and we already run a wide range of classes. These include Aikido, Tai Chi, Thai boxing, circuit training, step, aerobics, and legs, bums and tums.
We also have facilities for five-a-side, relaxation classes and meeting rooms. These classes are all run by instructors previously employed at the Barbican Centre.
While the public continue to appeal about the Barbican's closure, I ask them to support these classes, and likewise contact me (01904) 647877 with thoughts about new classes we could run.
