Pay Attention, who has taken so well to hurdling this season, can regain the winning thread at Towcester tomorrow.

Trained by Tim Easterby, the four-year-old bids to notch her fourth success of the campaign in the £10,000 gg.com Novices' Hurdle with David O'Meara in the saddle.

Having rattled-up a hat-trick of successes, Pay Attention went down fighting on her latest start at Doncaster, finishing a close-up third under a 10lb penalty.

There was much to like about that display in defeat, and this tough filly should be hard to beat tomorrow. She is awarded the nap vote.

Abzuson is taken to defy top-weight in the opening gg.com Handicap Hurdle.

John Norton's hardy gelding knows his way around this course, having won here last month over tomorrow's distance of three miles.

He had three-and-a-half lengths to spare over Kingsbay on that occasion and, although racing off a 10lb higher mark tomorrow, he will be a tough nut to crack. Andrew Thornton has the mount.

Also worth noting at Towcester is Panama Venture in the gg.com Mares' Only National Hunt Flat Race.

The six-year-old, trained at Bingley by Sue Smith, shaped well to chase home Arctic Moss at Sedgefield on her debut last month, and that form has since been franked by the winner, who scored again at Musselburgh this week.

At Fontwell, Tony McCoy has excellent prospects of enjoying a field day with fancied mounts throughout the afternoon.

Of most attention are the two horses he rides for top French trainer Francois Doumen, Mayeul and Blue Canyon.

The latter, an impressive winner at Haydock last month, lines-up for the £50,000 totesport National Spirit Hurdle, the day's richest race, and looks capable of following-up.

Mayeul goes for the opening Auto Finance Direct Novices' Hurdle and has shown enough promise so far to suggest opportunity may come knocking for him here.

McCoy can also make his presence felt aboard recent winner Ice Crystal (3-00), the promising Aspiring Actor (4-30) and the consistent Radcliffe (5-00) on what promises to be a memorable afternoon for the champion jockey.

There will, though, be no more popular winner on the card than Earthmover if this grand old campaigner manages to clinch the race named in his honour, the 'Earthmover' Foxhunters' Trial.

Now 14-years-old, Paul Nicholls' stalwart is obviously not the horse he once was, but he still retains enough ability to be competitive in this field. He certainly will not be lacking for vocal support from his many fans.
