YORKSHIRE County Cricket Club could be poised to make a further signing before the start of the new season in a couple of months' time.
Although director of cricket David Byas was not prepared to name his quarry at this stage, he admitted that he had got a player in mind.
"It is an on-going situation and it is quite possible that a new player could be coming to Headingley," he said.
Byas recently received a communication from the agent of former Kent paceman Duncan Spencer, 32, who last played for Kent 11 years ago and is keen to make a comeback.
"I have considered what his agent had to say but will not be taking the matter any further," said Byas.
In December Byas signed left-arm paceman David Lucas, from Nottinghamshire.
