AS one who took part in the residents survey referred to in the Press, I resent York council's suggestion that it might have been less than objective. People were asked the simple question "Are you in favour of, or against the bollard?"
Their answer was noted and they signed alongside their answer.
I suggest that the survey carried out on behalf of City of York Council has much less claim to validity.
The very fact that it referred to the road in question as a rat-run might, in the council's own words, "put people under pressure to respond in a particular way, which could influence the results considerably".
