FORM team New Earswick All Blacks head to Liversedge on Saturday with boss Simon Baynes warning of a tough task ahead.
The All Blacks put on a superb second-half display to win 36-10 at Crigglestone last week to cement their place at the top of Pennine League division two. But fourth-placed Liversedge will provide Baynes' men with a different challenge (kick off 2.30pm).
He said: "It will be a different type of game to Crigglestone, who were quite a young team. These have a really big pack so we've been working on moving the ball about a bit, quick play-the-balls and getting them on the back foot.
"Our defence will be important again. We've conceded just 18 points in our last six games. I hope this isn't a kiss of death but that's been the key for us."
Baynes will have several players back in contention for a place, namely Paul Dooley, Matt Godfrey, JoJo Hnesh, ex-Army lad Pete Johnson, who is back on board after injury or unavailability, and Dave Calam, though Carl Pallister (hamstring) is a doubt.
York Groves face arguably their toughest task of the season on Saturday as they visit Bank Top Harriers in division five.
Bank Top remain the only team throughout the league's seven divisions with a 100 per cent record, while the Terriers' indifferent run of results has left them fourth from bottom, though they gave a much-improved display in defeat to Wetherby last week.
Selby Warriors will look to maintain their two-point advantage over Bank Top, albeit having played four games more, by seeing off West Bowling 'B' at Sandhill Lane.
It won't be an easy task, though, as the visitors lie fourth and need a win to maintain their outside hopes of promotion.
