I thank the Evening Press, particularly Charles Hutchinson and Chris Titley, for the editorial support they gave to Rowntree Players last year.
Our acting membership has risen from about 20 to almost 60 allowing us to stage bigger and better performances, namely Spend, Spend, Spend and our panto, Jack And The Beanstalk.
This in turn has given us larger audiences and, hopefully, demonstrated amateur theatre isn't necessarily "amateur". Our press exposure isn't linked to our value as an advertiser or we would hardly get a mention, demonstrating that the Press truly is a local paper supporting local causes without looking to see what's in it for them.
Keep up the good work!
