Tony Dobbin, who rode two winners at Ayr yesterday, can continue on the century trail at Newcastle tomorrow.
The Cumbrian jockey, now into the 'nervous' 90s on the scoreboard, has good prospects of adding to his tally at Gosforth Park aboard Leading Man in the Sporting Index Maiden Hurdle.
In the frame in his last two starts, Leading Man, trained at Middleham by Ferdy Murphy, chased home the useful Mount Clerigo at Uttoxeter on his penultimate start. Although a beaten favourite last time out at Ayr, Leading Man was far from disgraced in finishing a close-up fourth behind Trisons Star.
That race was over two-and-a-half miles and Leading Man has the scope for further improvement now that he steps up to three miles.
Toulon Rouge can be another winner for Dobbin and Murphy, in the St James Security Handicap Chase.
The eight-year-old had a convincing success at Kelso where, in a soft race, she bounded home seven lengths clear of Cool Cossack over an extended three miles.
Toulon Rouge has more on her plate this time, but Dobbin clearly got a good tune out of her at Kelso and may be able to do so again.
Time Marches On is napped to defy top-weight in the Saltwell Signs Selling Handicap Hurdle.
Keith Reveley's charge won a similar race to this at Catterick two outings ago and, although outpointed when raised in class at the same course last time, she was far from discredited in finishing seventh to Ipledgeallegiance.
Likely to benefit from this return to selling company, Time Marches On can come out on top under Ritchie McGrath.
Don't Call Me Derek is the most interesting runner in the Gosforth Decorating And Building Services Novices' Hurdle.
Don't Call Me Derek, now trained near Malton by John Quinn, made a winning start to his hurdling career at Catterick recently.
He can improve from that five lengths triumph and looks the one to beat here.
