MORE "home brewed" television programmes for York and North Yorkshire can now be expected with the announcement by ITV of a £9 million Regional Production Fund to finance new programming from the regions.
Tyne Tees is one of the ITV Network channels which will benefit.
The fund, which will run for at least three years, commits £3 million per year to programme development and commissions for the ITV Network from "new to network" regional producers. In addition, ITV will commit for the first time to 50 per cent of UK network commissions being made outside London.
