The news that Charles and Camilla are to marry surprised me. I have absolutely nothing against them exchanging their vows.
However, if the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall receives the throne and the title King of England then, technically, Camilla will become Queen.
When they get married she will automatically come into the title of Her Royal Highness and The Duchess of Cornwall.
I shall think of Camilla as Queen if Charles becomes King - in my opinion the whole idea of the title of Princess Consort is the most outrageous title for a member of the royal family I have ever heard.
If Charles becomes King, Camilla will be Queen and the title of Consort will be forgotten.
I am very happy about their love and marriage.
