VOLUNTEER Arms remain top of York Sunday Morning Football League division one after a 5-2 win at Pocklington.
Clamp (2), Bonarius, Wain and Jackson all scored for Volunteer, with Boneham and O'Connor netting for the home side.
Marcia regained second spot after a narrow 2-1 win at Thorpe United. Andrew Green and David Allison scored for Marcia with Thorpe's reply coming from a Nigel Emery spot-kick.
Derwent United eased to a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Selby Olympia WMC courtesy of a brace from Bradshaw and a single strike from Collins.
Mark Willoughby put Ainsty Panthers one up at Severus but the home side were level before the break through Jones. The second half saw both teams go in search of goals and the boot of Tosh Reid put Ainsty back in front. They couldn't, however, capitalise on their many chances and Jones netted his second ten minutes from time to earn Severus a point.
In a game both teams really needed to win, Blacksmiths Arms took a first half lead through Darren Heels at Wigginton Grasshoppers. The home side strived for an equaliser and it arrived courtesy of a stunning strike from Jamie Seal to make it 1-1, a result that does neither team any favours.
With second-placed Acomb WMC inactive in division two, Shipton moved nine points clear with a 6-1 win over Burnholme (Earswick). Veteran Frank Carlin netted the decisive third but it was Blake who stole the show with four goals. West netted the other with Winterburn grabbing the visitors' consolation.
Nestl Flag lost ground after they had to setle for a point in a 2-2 draw at Acomb SC. Hinde gave the home side the lead and they looked to have wrapped things up with a second from Jackson. However, Cadywold pulled one back and then Chris Dyson levelled from a free-kick to rescue a point for Flag.
Mark Triffitt bagged a brace as Deramore Arms got back to winning ways with a 3-0 defeat of Haxby Lions.
Hildon and Thompson netted two apiece as York Nomads beat Boot & Slipper 7-0.
Gareth Moore hit a stunning hat-trick for division three leaders Bishopthorpe in their 4-2 home win over Beeswing. Manns got the other with Burton and Bullivant netting for the visitors.
Croad netted yet another double as he helped Hambleton to a 3-1 win over bottom club Real Way Station.
Scott, Hughes and Wilks all got first half goals for Barlby to a single goal from Noble for The Plough, who salvaged a point with second half strikes from Mulane and Cook.
Fulford's title hopes took a dent when they went down 2-1 at Copmanthorpe, whose Andy Rickatson and Dave Robinson were on the mark.
Harvey put Heworth one up at home to neighbours Shoulder of Mutton only to see Jones, Edmondson and Patchesa put the visitors 3-1 up. Dexter pulled one back.
Ambler put Inland Revenue in front in the first minute against Five Lions but their opponents were level after only three. Burn then netted a brace and an own goal rounded off a 4-3 win for Revenue.
