KITKAT Crescent is officially back in the hands of the supporters' after the final paperwork to transfer the ground was signed.
City directors Jason McGill, Terry Doyle and Mike Shannon completed the last part of the £2.1million deal to reclaim the ground from Bootham Crescent Holdings on Tuesday - one month after shareholders agreed to the switch at a special meeting.
Stephen Baylis, head of finance law at Langleys Solicitors, said: "There was a statutory period after that meeting to wait and see if any disgruntled shareholder wanted to apply to court to overturn that decision.
"But no-one did, and we formally handed over the share certificates on Tuesday.
"The whole process went very well. Because BCH is essentially owned by the supporters it was all done in a very open way.
"I think everybody was kept abreast of what was going on and there was nobody that objected to it at all."
Baylis added that working with the club had been a pleasure.
He said: "There is a buzz around the office now and people have taken a greater interest in one of our local teams."
The firm's connections with the club have increased over the last few months, with the main stand at KitKat Crescent Christened as the Langleys Solictors Main Stand at the start of the season.
Added Baylis: "Let's hope that they can put these things behind them now and concentrate on the playing side of things."
