Heworth ARL Club's Under 16s overcame premier league team West Hull 16-14 to reach the semi-finals of the Yorkshire Youth League Cup.
Heworth dominated early on, crossing the line with a 50-metre try by skipper Imi Lewis.
Man-of-the-match full-back Chris Peace got involved at every opportunity and sent Danny Allan in, Ben Potter goaling to make it 10-0.
West Hull came out well after the break scoring ten points and having another try disallowed but Heworth, for whom Oliver Knowles and Stirling Mackarel also shone, replied with a try through Steve Huller, Potter goaling.
West Hull scored a try on the final whistle in the corner but could not draw level with the conversion.
