YORK Under-11s schoolboy footballers stormed into the Green Un Cup final by beating hosts Derby 5-0 led by a four-goal haul from Jacob Gore.
York got off to a great start when Alex Needham put Gore through to score.
Luke Qualter, who had a fine game in central defence, headed the ball forward for Gore to run on and lob the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
A four-man passing sequence between Jacob McCormack, Needham, Sam Byram and Jamie Wilstrop ended with Gore completing his hat-trick.
York's defence, marshalled superbly by Alex Dale, continued to keep the strong Derby attack at bay.
Right-back Connor Qualter cleared an attack for man-of-the-match Gore to coolly take on Derby's last man and fire in a great shot to make it 4-0.
Wilstrop then slipped the ball to Byram to complete the scoring.
York next take on Leeds at home a week on Saturday in the semi-final of the West Yorkshire Cup.
