Mick Easterby sends his rising star Parknasilla from Sheriff Hutton to Carlisle tomorrow with the aim of capturing the richest race on the programme.
The £15,000 Weatherbys Bank Novices' Chase is the target for this smart five-year-old, who is napped to double his score over fences in the hands of Tony Dobbin.
A winning hurdler last season, Parknasilla got off the mark over the major obstacles at his second attempt at Wetherby last month.
With Dobbin in the saddle, he overcame a slow start to win by five lengths from Sharp Single, looking every inch a progressive performer.
Parknasilla has more on his plate tomorrow in a competitive race, but he is not one to to be overlooked lightly.
The Resdev Handicap Chase, also over two miles, looks a good opportunity for Midlem Melody to regain winning form.
Stuart Coltherd's consistent nine-year-old has finished runner-up in her last two starts and deserves to go one better tomorrow. Graham Lee, who knows her well, takes the mount on a course where this mare has scored in the past.
At Lingfield, all eyes will be on Jamie Spencer as he picks-up his career in Britain after quitting his job as retained jockey to Aidan O'Brien only one season in the role.
David Loder gives him the mount on Jostle in the Win £2m At littlewoodspools.co.uk Handicap, and this lightly-raced three-year-old, making his handicap debut, could do Spencer a good turn.
He will also be on the David Evans-trained I'm Aimee in the Bet Direct Selling Stakes, and, as his mount arguably has the best form in a modest race, he should enjoy a good ride.
