IN response to the Soapbox letter 'Stop wheelie bin blight' (January 28), I presume Ann Petherick is on another planet?
Her criticism of wheelie bins is most unfair. Most of the people I know around here describe them as "the best thing since sliced bread".
They are coloured green in East Yorkshire, fitting into the environment, and instead of untidy, unhealthy, black bin bags lying around for rats, mice, foxes, badgers etc, to rip apart, everything goes into the green bins.
We are now awaiting blue bins for re-cycling newspapers, cans, plastic and bottles, and they can't come fast enough.
We don't want paper sacks, thank you Ann. You can keep them.
