YORK rugby league legend Richie Hayes was back in action yesterday for a National League club.
The retired Hayes played for former club Hunslet in the testimonial for veteran Hawks prop Steve Pryce, himself an ex-York Wasps player.
The game saw an ex-Hunslet XIII take on a West Indies Past and Present side, Pryce being one of the main men behind the rise of a Windies rugby league team. It finished 26-26.
