ONE of departing chief executive Steve Ferres' last behind-the-scenes tasks at York City Knights was to play a role in various organisational changes as part of the on-going review of the club's infrastructure.
The link-up with Super League champions Leeds Rhinos and the recruitment of Mick Cook as coach and Daryl Powell as player consultant, as well as the return of Paul Broadbent as an assistant coach, have hit the headlines, but there have been further changes to the club's framework.
These include moving the club's headquarters from the stadium to larger premises in Huntington (tel 01904 758234), which houses club secretaries Leanne Cooper and Ros Buckley, admin assistant Adele Claxton, accounts manager Steve Wragg, development manager Jason Ramshaw and his colleague Ian Wilson.
What was previously the general office at the stadium has been re-designated for exclusive use by Cook and his coaching team, plus conditioner Colin Sanctuary and physio Hannah Gray, and by Cath Murray, the club's match-day manager on match days.
Meanwhile, the club shop will be open on a trial basis at 6-7.30pm on Thursdays and on Sundays prior to away matches where possible, as well as before home games.
Telephone orders should go through marketing director David Gorwood on 01904 628962. All sponsorship enquires should go to commercial manager Peter Salter initially on 01904 758234.
