York's White Rose Triathletes are to hold two Triathlon Training Workshops based at their clubhouse in Wigginton.
These workshops will aim to teach the skills necessary to successfully complete a triathlon.
Over two days White Rose Triathlete's fully qualified coaches will guide participants through technique sessions in swimming, cycling, running and transition training.
All sessions will be split into ability groups and are open to all ages and abilities. Complete novices are especially welcome.
The dates are Saturday, February 12 and Saturday, March 12.
They will be followed on Saturday, April 16 by a Mini-Triathlon, where workshop attendees get the chance to put their new skills to the test in a small race.
The main emphasis of the sessions will be based on technique, using video analysis to help highlight problem areas.
The first weekend will concentrate on runnning, swimming and the basic elements of transition training. The second weekend will continue from there to include cycle technique, further development on the swimming, plus the intricacies of advanced transition training.
As one of the first clubs in the country to achieve Starmark (a triathlon specific quality assured accreditation) White Rose Triathletes are committed to promoting multi-discipline sport in the area.
