PERHAPS now York's Labour MP Hugh Bayley can see the link between his vote to impose extra burdens in fees and charges on students and the lower take up rates of higher education among his constituents.
These fees are a real deterrent to people from lower income families. It shows how detached he has become from the people who elected him.
