DESPITE the high level of council tax York residents pay, I'm usually happy to pay my dues.
Money for our refuse collection, which is an efficient service. Money for the police - an undervalued and over-worked service. Money for the fire brigade, for an insurance cover I hope I'll never have to call on.
Is there any chance the council managers could keep a little back to repair Eastholme Road and surrounding roads?
If the potholes get any bigger, the council will be receiving a bill from my garage for the repair of my car, already "hurt" by the sleeping policemen which sprout up suddenly everywhere.
