I AGREE with your correspondent who thinks that Tang Hall is climbing the table of desirable residential areas (Property Press, January 13).
The acid test of a district is to visit its centre at about 9.30pm and call into the local pub.
There may be houses, bought at a premium, with illuminated lounges with curtain undrawn to reveal standard lamps, wall-to-wall carpet, rows of pristine unthumbed books and Clarice Cliff on display.
However, the centre of the village at night reveals what creeps out of them, displaying zoological behaviour and the foulest language.
A recent visit to Copmanthorpe showed it to be resting at the bottom of this league table.
