IT'S been interesting to observe the reactions of Evening Press readers to the recent applications to erect first a wind monitoring mast and then subsequently two 111 metre high turbines by the A19, between the parishes of Escrick, Riccall and Skipwith.
Whether one should invest in power generation from water, wind or willow is surely only part of the story. It's only right that we should all also consider the environmental impact.
Escrick Parish Council to its credit has canvassed the opinion of its residents, including those most closely affected, before expressing an opinion.
For those who would like to know more, I suggest you take a look at www.escrick.org on the internet.
