AWAY-DAY joy plotted the way to the RJF Homes-Beckett Football League's Gordon Harrison Memorial Trophy final.

Black Swan, Pickering, and Kirkdale Utd, both away semi-final winners, will meet in the showdown after Kirkdale beat hosts Union Rovers 5-1.

They powered into a 3-0 first half lead with goals from Uhi Ehima, Graham Jemison and Ehima again, his second a rip-snorting strike.

Early in the second half Peter Tiffany scored for Union. They then thought they bagged a second, but with the ball ruled not to have crossed the line Kirkdale broke clear for Ian Prendergast to score. Kirkdale wrapped up the win with a Mark Langdale goal.

Only two Beckett League first division games beat the weather.

Duncombe Park and Heslerton shared the points for a goal-less draw which sees Heslerton move above Thornton-le-Dale.

The derby between Aislaby Utd and Sinnington, also ended all-square at 2-2. Aislaby Utd took the lead in the first half through Jason Hodgson before the Sinners equalised before half-time via ex-Aislaby favourite Kian Brewster's 30-yard free-kick.

A deflected Ben Thompson free-kick put Aislaby back in front, but Dave Wilkinson struck to level.

Division two leaders Slingsby beat Union Rovers 2nds 8-0. Goals from Dave Allan, Ben Brownhill and Kirk Newton put Slingsby in control by half-time. After the break Darren Dyer hit a hat-trick supplemented by strikes from Simon Collier and Brownhill.

Coxwold had their best result of the season beating Norton Utd Reserves 6-0.

Jimmy Turton and Jamie Banks scored for Coxwold in the first half, with second half goals from Daniel Jaques, Gavin Watts, Jason Sargent, and Turton for the second time.
