WELL, somebody's got to do it - and that lucky man is 33-year-old globetrotter James Brook.
James has just been appointed raw materials buyer for Pocklington-based dried fruit and nut specialists Sundora Foods.
That means taking regular business trips to exotic locations like Turkey, California and Brazil in a search for the world's best fruit and nuts.
It makes a change from gunpowder. James spent five years sourcing raw materials from China and the Far East for the fireworks industry.
He said: "I enjoy travelling so the challenge of flying thousands of miles to source fruit and nuts such as apricots, dates and almonds is one I'm really looking forward to.
"Sundora, the number one dried fruit brand in the UK, is renowned for the premium quality of its fruit snacking and home baking products. I'm determined to help drive the business forward by working alongside new and existing suppliers to ensure that tradition continues."
James holds a NEBSM certificate in Supervisory Management. Married, with two children, he will relax from his world chewing travels by playing the occasional round of golf.
