YORK residents, terrorised by gangs of drunken yobs, have been advised by the police to stay indoors (January 27).
This violence has been going on for five years. We also read that North Yorkshire Police has a stash of £26 million of public money (January 19). Presumably they have been able to "save" the taxpayer from spending this money by failing to tackle crime.
When are we going to get value for money from the police, and when are the residents of Monkton Road going to see the police do something about the yobs? It is a disgrace.
