Amotherby & Swinton maintained their unbeaten record in Leeper Hare League division two with a crucial 3-2 win over leaders Heslington.

Jimmy Baxter, Johnny Dunning and Bob Brewer were on target for the hosts while Danny Walters and Stuart Dickenson scored for Heslington.

A Lenny Mason second half hat-trick gave White Horse the points at Poppleton.

His first was cancelled out by Andy Mercer and his second by a Craig Suttle penalty two minutes from time, but he still found time to complete his treble and win the game.

The bottom two sides claimed creditable away points, Stillington in an uneventful 0-0 draw at Fulford and Strensall in a 3-3 draw at Tockwith, albeit after leading 3-1 with just ten minutes left.

Sam Tobin put Tockwith in front but Mick Pipe equalised before the break and Strensall went two in front with another Pipe goal and one from Paul Lawrie. However, Andy Wilson scored a penalty and then levelled late on with a header from a corner.

That fight-back was more than matched by Huby in their 4-4 division three draw with Tadcaster Albion.

Richard Durant supplied an early equaliser for Huby but they found themselves trailing 4-1 five minutes after the interval. But up stepped Richard Jennison to celebrate the birth of his child with a second half hat-trick.

York RI moved second by beating Norton 3-2 with all the goals coming in the first half. Goal machine Nick Hutchinson contributed two with Stuart Hartley adding a penalty.

Moor Lane moved up a place by winning 2-1 at LNER Builders.

Gareth Akers opened the scoring direct from a corner and Andrew Kenyon headed the visitors two up. Mark Rollinson pulled one back in the second period but the visitors never looked in danger.

Heworth also climbed one place after beating Bishop Wilton 6-1. Goals from Matty Cowans, Paul Braniscombe and Ben Branigan (2) gave them a comfortable lead before Dan Padgham scored for the visitors but any threat of a fight-back was snuffed out by strikes from Outram twins Tim and Nick.

Cawood enjoyed their first win of the campaign as they overwhelmed visitors Wheldrake 9-3. The goal avalanche was started by John Knowles with a hat-trick with two apiece for Will Hatton, Ray Meehan and John Ross Carrier.

Simon Archer got the only goal of the game as New Earswick produced the surprise result in Reserve 'A' at title contenders Pocklington.

Old Malton have a three-point lead at the top after their 3-2 win over Kartiers, Paul Milner, Mathew Hood and Mark Smith hitting the net for the victors.

Copmanthorpe drew 1-1 Dunnington. Tony Downing put the hosts ahead with Darren Starkey replying.
