I CAN understand this type of structure down at the Knavesmire but surely not within the Eye of York. It would be a blight on the skyline for many.
This is a conservation area where regulations even govern buildings' lighting to ensure it reaches certain standards. The idea of losing trees and views here is nonsense.
York will end up an amusement centre such as Blackpool if citizens let them get away with it in this area.
York can manage without this type of structure.
