ON behalf of The Salvation Army, I thank the people of York and district for their generosity in responding to the Pass The Parcel appeal launched on Channel 4 television, also to everyone concerned at the Evening Press Appeal for Christmas goodies.
The response was overwhelming and resulted in 110 children in the city receiving a sack of toys and gifts, and needy families having a brighter Christmas than they might have done. God bless you all.
