THREE special edition models of Peugeot's busy 307 range have been launched, and all offer a wide range of engine choices.
Fans of the model already appreciate high levels of equipment, but the three special editions, X-Line, Sport and Quiksilver, each offer something just that little bit extra.
The Quiksilver brand is already a familiar sight on a number of Peugeot models. It is identified by the body's bright silverwork and its unique design interior trim. On top of this, for the first time on a Peugeot model, SmartNav satellite system, normally expected to cost £850, becomes a piece of standard equipment, and all new models sold will also have the first year's subscription to the service paid for them by Peugeot.
Other standard features include an ultrasonic alarm, metallic silver paintwork, 16-inch alloy wheels, digital air conditioning, radio/CD auto-changer, automatic windscreen wipers and headlights, leather steering wheel and alloy pedals and gearlever knob.
Quiksilver is available in both five-door hatchback and SW estate body styles, and are priced from £14,020 on the road (the SW estate model is from £16,820). Engine options include the 1.6-litre 110bhp petrol and the HDi 110bhp and 136bhp diesels. The SW does not get the petrol unit.
The X-Line is a new entry-level model priced from £10,995 on the road. It comes with 15-inch alloy wheels. Manual air conditioning, a CD player and special X-Line mats. It is also available in both three-door and five-door styles, and the engine options include a 1.4-litre unit and 1.6-litre petrol and 2.0-litre HDi 90 diesel.
Completing the line-up is the Sport, coming with a variety of engines from the smooth 1.6-litre 110bhp petrol through to three of Peugeot's diesels, the 2.0-litre HDi 90bhp, 110bhp and the more powerful HDi 136bhp.
Prices start at £13,520 on the road, and standard equipment includes metallic paint, 16-inch alloy wheels, digital air conditioning, radio/CD auto-changer, automatic wipers and headlights, and electric folding door mirrors.
