FIBBERS steps outside for an afternoon, swapping its subterranean Stonebow home for the open air of Parliament Street tomorrow.
"Every year, City of York Council runs a stage in Parliament Square and every year, the alternative/rock acts seem to be overlooked, but not any more," says Fibbers manager Tim Hornsby.
"Now the council has a more enlightened events officer on board - take a bow Miss Lenny - and she has entrusted the January 29 show to little old Fibbers. A stage of our own, no less."
In the line-up at this free event from 12.30pm to 5pm will be Customer 1000, The Stanleys, Sixty6, Cardboard Radio, Black Night Crash and AKP.
"So pop down to Parliament Square tomorrow afternoon and give six local unsigned acts, who wouldn't otherwise get such a public show, your support," suggests Tim.
