I HAD the best night out for 20 years at The Groves Working Men's Club.
At last someone has got it right. The Wildcats put on a rock 'n' roll night, which was sold out by 8pm which shows you that, 50 years on, rock 'n' roll is still very popular.
The floor was packed with 18-year-olds to pensioners.
What a nice sight to see young and old enjoying the same music.
The DJs Richy P and Mad Dog Daz had the floor full all night and the three Elvises - Paul Bulmer, Martin Pertwee and Danny Craig - were top showmen and had the crowd screaming all night.
The Wildcats raised hundreds of pounds. A very big thanks to those involved.
Come on WMCs, this is what you need to be doing to stay alive and attract the young as well as the old.
