Spectacular voice, unspectacular album by the former Neighbours star.
Mistaken Identity resumes where Goodrem's Out Of The Blue left off and fans will be warmed by the continuing theme of piano-driven tracks with octave-stretching vocals.
Some of pop's biggest writers - Cathy Dennis, of Kylie fame, and Guy Chambers, who partnered Robbie Williams - have put their efforts into this record, and the results are melodic, solid, even worthy, but surprisingly unremarkable. If nothing else, Goodrem's duet with ex-Westlife vocalist Brian McFadden should come with its own parental advisory notice. Warning: could make you cringe.
